Got a call from my dealer, looks like another BMS software update was released. Will we be going back to our dealers for software update every few months?!? Guess I will be helping myself to some free drinks from the sales floor. 😀
I did a quick search, but couldn't find if you have had the new battery installed. Is this software update for the new battery, or another fire recall update?Got a call from my dealer, looks like another BMS software update was released. No, it’s not. Just the dealers.GM is clearly clueless.

'22 EUV - Programming update available for your new...
Received the vehicle last week and got this from my Dealer today: "We just got a notice from GM. It says there is a programming update available for your new Bolt. Let me know when is a good time for you to bring it in and I'll get it scheduled with the Service Manager." Does anyone know which...www.chevybolt.org
A company that is dependent on its dealers for its existence had better be able to communicate with those dealers..No, it’s not. Just the dealers.
As long as the dealers are doing their part, yes.A company that is dependent on its dealers for its existence had better be able to communicate with those dealers..
If they are not, it is GM's responsibility to replace them.As long as the dealers are doing their part, yes.
In these days, it’s hard to get people to join a team in a game and you talk about replacing a whole (maybe) dealership. If things were so simple...If they are not, it is GM's responsibility to replace them.
Yup. Which is why I think the legacy car companies are in deep trouble. They are making their money on the wrong products now, and their sales and service model came in when their selling horses.Weren't you the one who mentioned how a tech from a dealership who was schooled on working of Bolt EV, left because he found something better at a school ? Sorry, but if it was so simple as you say, it had been done a long time ago.
Is anyone having to pay for Bolt EUV software updates? I watched a video this morning stating that they’re going to start charging over $100 /month for software updates. I’m trying to decide on whether to go with a bolt and this is pretty alarming info.Got a call from my dealer, looks like another BMS software update was released. The only software updates I have heard of on the Bolt, so far, have been those pushed by GM to overcome problems they are responsible for. I can't imagine how they could possibly charge for any of those. If they plan to add "enhancements", they can charge what they like. If it was something I wanted badly enough, I suppose I might pay for it. My take is, if the car was good enough when I bought it, it is still good enough. Is anyone having to pay for Bolt EUV software updates? Um, take a look at the list of GM videos by this guy. Sounds like a short-seller. I'd take any "interpretation" by this guy with a boulder of salt.
I LOL'd at that one.GM's super duper plan - how they'll beat Tesla by 2087
Strange. I clicked on this link and was able to access the website but couldn't on the link you posted in the other thread....anyway, my VIN was clean!! ThanksI want to alert anyone who is waiting to accept a 2022 built before this recall:

If the software patch has not been installed, it will show up here 👍
Maybe your car had a dream that it was a Tesla. 😉I'm wondering if I actually received a OTA update of some kind last night.
