Software version 14.4.2

GM customer service says my software is out of date - and this can cause "infotainment system lags" yet the actual center screen says "You have the latest version". The version I have is laggy. Anyone have experience with a later version and does Android auto/ Google maps lag less?

The most recent version of the Infotainment firmware that I've seen on these fora is 14.5.0C. That's the version mine is running.

I'm under the impression that your screen will say "You have the latest version" no matter what version you have. Mine had an older version for months, and still had that message. The only time mine has *not* said this was when it announced that it was ready to do an OTA update. (This was after I got my letter from GM announcing it.) It instructed me on how to do it. I did what it said, and mine no longer says 14.4.2. It says 14.5.0C and...you guessed it..."You have the latest version".

I'm surprised yours hasn't updated itself. Is your in-vehicle data plan still active? If not, does the vehicle have access to a WiFi signal where it's parked? If one of these two isn't the case, it can be done at a dealer. While there, you can have them do the "Hybrid Battery blah, blah" recall update at the same time.

There have been many reports of CP/AA issues, but I don't recall that "lag" is one of them.

Hi Greg, Yes I'm paying the $20 a month for the data plan and have plenty good LTE signal here. I honestly don't like dealing with the hassle of the dealership and will put off a visit as long as I can... maybe I will get an OTA update after all.
the software updates were planned to be implemented through August 2018. so you need to wait at most another month to get the update.

Thank You xj12 I'll be patient and keep watching and waiting.
I don't have the costly 'data plan', and my Bolt updated itself a month or two ago. I haven't taken my Bolt to the dealer since I bought it last December. I have not had the drive battery software upgrade installed. The dealer keeps sending me annoying e-mails offering me 'free service'. Bolts don't require any routine dealer service for the first five years.

Got our Premiere in December last year too. Made the move when there was rumblings of eliminating the Fed credit. It didn't happen, but we bought anyway. No regrets.

Haven't done the "Hybrid Battery" update here, either, but I'll probably take it in for it soon. Problems after the update, reported here, have dropped to zero, as far as I can tell. Now, I'm reluctant to wait for the 7500 mile checkup, because it will probably be nearly another year before we get there. I always put quotes around "Hybrid Battery" because the vehicle is not a hybrid. Hellllohhhhh!

We get at least an ad a week from Chevy for services the car can't use. They obviously use the calendar, rather than miles, to offer the 7500 mi checkup. It's frustrating that they're killing trees and wasting money for no purpose. :crying:
