…..Minneapolis….My Bolt works great in the summer for running rideshare Uber/Lyft but pain in the backside fall, winterdid not want to do another winter with the Bolt .
Hope I can get a Bolt next year. I live as far north as you do, but our western Washington state winters are warmer than yours, so I think my Bolt winters will be OK.…..specially since I’m retired. If the mornings are too cold, I just roll over in bed & go back to sleep. ☃⛄

….Hope the CVT holds up in the Altima for the length of time the OP needs the car. It seems CVTs in Nissans…….have a bad rep.……I say this as being somewhat of a fan of Nissan…….
I had the Nissan Jatco CVT in my Dodge Caliber that was excellent. On many mountain pass slopes, it was wonderful, as it selected the perfect “gear” for all differing slopes & speeds.

One time, I was first car, with my CVT in “L low mode“, in a line of cars behind a really really slowpoke car onto the Freeway. As soon as was legal, I swept quickly around the slowpoke. On the Freeway with my CVT back in “standard gearing mode”, I resumed my usual slower (but not slowpoke) speed in the right lane. About 30 seconds later, a car in the faster Freeway lane to my left, drove up beside me & gave me a thumbs-up for my quick passing. Yeah, the Dodge Caliber in the L mode, was fairly quick, not needing to ”shift” during 10MPH to 50MPH acceleration & losing time.

Also, in stop&go&stop traffic, the CVT was the best & smoothest transmission, not needing to continuously shift like a geared transmission from 1st gear to 2nd gear & back to 1st. Tho we have two 6speed manual & automatic Hyundai Elantras now that we love, I miss the elegance of the CVT.
Hopefully when I can afford a Chevy Bolt, I’ll get that elegance again.

…... I'm looking forward to having a larger vehicle……
If I can get a Chevy Bolt EV, I’ll love saving $6 every time I take a round trip on the Washington state ferry boat BECAUSE of Bolt’s shortness. Yeah, three or four Bolts on a ferry saves enough space for another vehicle. The Chevy Bolt, while moving, is efficient. The Bolt, while NOT moving, is still efficient.

….On a rare occasion I have to haul people and equipment. The Leaf, which is close to the size of the Bolt, was a little bit of a tight squeeze for this trip. I'm also looking forward to the charge times being improved.
Lots of people buy bigger…..to cover those ”rare occasions”. Hope you will be happy with your larger EV & 250kW Fast Chargers.
I don’t need either, & have been happy with small cars for 600,000+ miles. As for fast chargers, the places I will spend many hours, L2 chargers(many FREE) will give me power to travel 100-120miles. I expect my Chevy Bolt battery to last 300,000+ miles.
You will pay for your future…..I will NOT pay for my future.
