Soon to be a new Bolt EV owner

There is excitement rippling through our house. Just received a call from Brian, the salesperson we've been working with at Rusty Drewing Chevrolet (35 miles from home), and was told our our Bolt has arrived. This was an amazingly fast delivery. We ordered the car on April 10th, and it is now delivered. Tomorrow we go to the dealership to do all the paperwork and pick up the car in a few days after they do all the checks and a full charge.
Our landlord has even volunteered to install the outlet in our garage for charging (we rent a house). He's already been by to see how much wiring he needs.
Even my wife, who won't even go into Best Buy with me, is excited about this car.
I have to thank all of the great YouTube Bolt reviewers and many of the members in this forum whose informative posts help me decide to take this step.

I'm waiting on one. Ordered May 1. Estimated delivery middle to late June. Good luck.

It was 6.5 weeks from order to delivery. So that sounds about right for your timeframe. From what I've been reading in other places it seems Chevy is speeding up production and delivery.

Hi
I'm so jealous - I've put down 1k for a customer order here in MA from Herb Connolly Chevrolet - was told it'd be 6 months :(
only good thing is no dealer markup (market adjustment) vs. the + $5K i've seen in the ones you can purchase today.
hopefully no shenanigans happen at the time of sale and something magically appears on the invoice!

Let us know what type of charger you settled upon ASAP as i'm looking for one now myself.

I went with the Chevy Dual Level EVSE add-on.

Herb Connolly must have changed their policy. Last year they had a $5k markup.
That gray is really pretty. Enjoy the new ride!

Today's the day we pick up our Bolt EV! It's a 35 mile drive down to the dealership. I'll be driving the Bolt back while my wife will be driving our 2006 Honda Element. When we get home we'll take the Bolt on a charger safari around Columbia just in case we ever need to charge outside the home. She wants to find an empty parking lot to practice OPD. Shades of dad teaching me to drive 54 years ago. This is going to be fun. There's going to be a lot to learn or figure out.
I'll be posting pictures later on in the day.

Congratulations on the new car. Tell your wife not to stress about the OPD. It's not like the brakes will lock up and she will come to a screeching halt with skid marks emblazoned on the pavement. It won't take long for her to pick it up while in the parking lot and she will learn even more when on the roads.

Wow that’s quick delivery. I ordered mine Sept 6. Still waiting. Supposedly delivery June 10.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS.

Picked up our Ghost Grey Bolt EV yesterday. We arrived at the dealership in Jefferson City a half hour early and walked down the line of cars parked in front, and then we saw it....our Bolt. Almost in unison the first word out of our mouths was WOW! We were more than simply impressed. What we saw in pictures and videos didn't do it justice. It is one beautiful car, the Ghost Grey was the perfect choice. Absolutely no regrets there.
I'm not going into detail about the buying experience but my wife and I agree that it was a pleasure, something not said about car buying at other dealerships. We did tell our sales associate Brian that it actually was enjoyable working with him.
I drove the car back to Columbia with my wife following driving our Honda Element while we were talking to each by phone (obviously). Apparently the Bolt's speedometer needs calibrating as she would report her speed and mine shown would be at least 10 miles per hour less. One time she said going 80 and while my speed was showing around 68. After about 15 miles both speedometers were in sync with each other.
The seats are very comfortable and the car handles great. We took the car to some friends of my wife because they were interested in seeing it. Took the Bolt on a gravel country road. The ride was smoother than the Element was when I drove it on the same road.
The acceleration was as impressive as others have reported.
It is a very fun car to drive.
It definitely is worth the money spent.

Now comes the best part of buying a new car. ACCESSORIES!
First one ordered: Screen protector for the info screen. I made a huge mistake in peeling off the factory installed screen protector. What a fingerprint grease magnet...yuck. Hopefully the protector I ordered will take care of that.
Second item I ordered is the Avid Cordless Power tire inflator. I've been wanting one of these for our other cars so this was a great excuse to finally get one.
Third item is the Ottie cell phone holder. It will attach to the top of the dashboard. It's mainly for just having a place to put the cell phone.

Future accessories:
Bluetooth OBD2 dongle and the best app for that... recommendations welcomed
Front floor mats...thanks to forum members for their reviews I have a couple in mind. Really don't need rear passenger floor mats as we put the back seats down for more cargo area.
Front seat protectors, must be cloth and airbag compatible. Suggestions?
Tire plug kits.
Any other suggestions welcomed.

The local well drillers around here are called Moerky & Sons. Pronounced "Murky" I had the same reaction that you did when I heard an ad for them on the radio.
That's one awesome and exciting ride! Congratulations
