Has anyone noticed any oil drops on their garage floor underneath the drivers side of their Bolt?

I have a 2018 Bolt with ~1,500 miles on it. Took it to the dealer after I noticed the oil drops, they said it was "steering gear wax coating run off, excessive steering gear wax waterproofing coating run off, cleaned excess per bulletin 16-NA-109"

I was surprised that a wax coating would look and feel like oil on my garage floor, so pulled the under tray (18 screws, 7 bolts) and all I could find some something dripping from the back of the steering rack. It does look like a wax coating, but I'm surprised it would drip enough onto the under tray to end up on my garage floor.

At this point, I'm going to give it some more time and see if there's any more oil drops.

Has anyone else experienced this and what was the outcome?

I think there was a report of a similar problem on this forum a few months ago. It's definitely a warranty repair, and I recall that it required extensive surgery. You should get the car to the dealer ASAP and get it fixed, as it is a potentially serious safety issue.

Looks to be an issues with some of the cars- Steering Racks- O- ring? I want to say the Weber Auto car also had the issue. Check out the end 31:30...

Yes. Professor Kelly mentioned seeing what he assumed was a leak from a bad O-ring. He said he would have to replace it. Never heard any follow up. I think this is the only instance of an observed apparent leak. It was brought up, by me, to several people on here, as a possible cause of steering service warnings.

A verified O-ring leak, which produced actual dripping on the belly pan, was a gear case leak. But that was red ATF, not the yellow fluid seen in your pictures.

Water is the only liquid I have seen under the Bolt, since July, after 11K miles, condensation dripping off the AC. Unlike ICE cars, the AC can run during or after charging too. I have felt up in the openings in the belly pan several times, checking for any possible leaks. So far, so good.
