[newbie alert!]

I have a brand new (got 350 miles on it)2019 Red Bolt

on the surround vision on the right side I see a red band. I initially thought it was sunlight glare off of body but it happens in all orientations of the car and even when its raining... See pic... sometimes it VERY dark...Is something wrong? TIA!

Yes. A trip to the dealer is in your future.

Try this: push the right sideview mirror inwards and then look at the image. It looks like it's misaligned (I'm assuming the right side of your driveway isn't flared out at about a 40 degree angle) and the red you're seeing is the side of the car. By pushing/folding the mirror in, it will show you whether or not you have a misaligned camera because the red should be approximately parallel to the side of the car. Someone else on the forum had the same issue and, as GregBrew said, it takes a service visit at the dealer to get it fixed.

So status:

if I push the mirror outward it aligns OK. Took to dealer and put new side view right side mirror. The darn technician didn't even bother to check after install that the NEW MIRROR HAS THE SAME PROBLEM! (very poor quality of repair) car is at dealer waiting for resolution.

Brand new car with issues... sad... hope not a harbinger to come!

I have found that the "skycam" can be almost useless when parking in wet/rainy conditions. I suggest grabbing a napkin and giving the four lenses a quick wipe down.
I echo this sentiment. I stock up on lens wipes in the car for this exact reason. They sell these by the bajillion in Costco.
