There has been quite a bit of news coming out about the Model 3 recently, but this news isn't really what potential buyers wanted to hear.
The Tesla Model 3 was planned for a 2017 release, but now that is being pushed back to 2018. This delay is only made worse when you consider that originally Elon Musk said that he expected the Model 3 to be revealed in March 2016. At this point it shouldn't really be that surprising that the Model 3 was delayed since most Tesla vehicles get delay after delay as they approach release.
It is possible that this delay comes from the decision to offer the Model 3 as both a sedan and as a crossover.
With the delay now, it seems that many potential Tesla Model 3 buyers may turn to the Chevy Bolt instead.
