I see there's an "easy audio upgrade" thread and while this fits that it's in a different category.

We have a Bolt with the upgraded sound system and I've been quite happy with the performance; it goes quite loud without turning into a mess. Even so I've found myself thinking "wow, the subwoofer certainly isn't obvious."

For good reason. While packing some winter contingency stuff in the back of the car I thought to see if the lower hold (orlop deck?) where the audio stuff lives might have a useful cranny for edge-case items. I noticed a dangling connector from the amplifier living down there. Option? No, the subwoofer was never connected at the factory.

Suddenly the radio is quite a bit more whumpa-whumpa, or something about "808" according to my son.

One car out of thousands. Unique oversight? Probably not. For others with this radio and who are equally oblivious it might be worth checking.

Good find! We bought a Honda Civic a few years ago and after the body control module locked my wife out of the car, found that the linkage between the key in the door and the lock mechanism had never been connected. That was a call to AAA for lock out service. Double whammy....
