I'm about to go on a road trip and would love to contribute data to better route planner. Alas, I have an iphone... is there an app that records data that is compatible with torque pro? Torque pro doesn't seem available on ioS....

I’ve been using OBD Fusion by OCTech, LLC

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/obd-fusion/id650684932?mt=8

It’s more expensive than other options but in my opinion much better designed and made. The developer has also been responsive to my inquiries when I had trouble importing the custom csv file of PIDs. It doesn’t currently support custom PID equation entries but they’re working on adding that functionality. Luckily that can easily be done in the spreadsheet afterwards from the other data points.

The free options such as EngineLink LE looked and functioned like cheap garbage. But they are an option if your tolerance for software quality is higher than mine. :)

What adaptor did you use and as this is an older post did you find something better?

At one point I was so into the data that I bought a $40 7" Android tablet (LG G-pad) and had that connected at all times. I've bought brand new Android phones for as low as $10.

I'm sure there's iPhone apps though.
No problem finding the app for my I-phone but the warning says that an adapter is required so I’m interested in what adaptor if anyone has some experience.
