Are these screen failures happening more in the colder climates? @OneEV is up there in the colder weather, and then some Canadian owners are reporting failures. Sometimes you hear about failures in colder climates when moisture collects and then freezes.

In my line of work, we used to install touch panels - just seemed more elegant, and easier to clean, but we had calibration problems with them and ended up going back to hard keys.

So when these panels lock up and you’re resetting them by pressing two keys simultaneously ... those two keys are on the panel and it’s responding to that, but nothing else?

2017 Premier in Ohio. Screen is unresponsive today but it also happened in summer. Difference is, the 2 button trick stopped working in the cold. Love not being able to use my heated seats.
Well, a quick troubleshooting test would be to check your 12V battery with a load tester. Those also tend to suffer in the cold and can cause all sorts of problems with the electronics.

If the screen will restart it would seem like it is a connector issue - where of course it the question. If you are handy and capable of taking apart. Before replacing I would try something like DeoxIT D5 which is an electronic/electrical connection cleaner and improves conduction across contacts and connectors. I’ve used it on motorcycle and scooter connections with good success. It is very flammable and not cheap and somewhat hard to find. On the can they say there is a non flammable version.

My screen locked up the other day when a phone call did not go thru. Had to turn off and leave off for a minute but it restarted fine. Seemed like a software glitch and first time it’s happened.
