Oddly, my 2017 Bolt's trunk latch stopped working yesterday when leaving the office. I had placed my laptop in the trunk, and when almost approaching the freeway entrance the console starting pinging me. I pulled over and was unable to get the trunk latch to close, no matter whether pushing or slamming it. Ended up using a bungee cord to keep the trunk somewhat closed for the commute home, where the console would ping whenever a road bump caused the trunk to pry open slightly. Called to get an appointment with the local Chevy dealer, but when checking on the latch last night, it was working fine.

Yup.. I was going to suggest turning the car off, walking away, and coming back. Since the hatch latch works with the fob, I am sure it is susceptible to glitches. Be glad your charge port door, and glovebox aren't controlled wirelessly, like some cars we could mention. :)
