I've seen this problem frequently since the Android Auto update at the start of August: The app will randomly switch from my selected audio app (typically Pandora or Audible) to Amazon Music (without playing anything from Amazon) until I manually reselect my original app AND press play, at which point it will resume where that app left off as though there had been no interruption. I've seen this a dozen times in one hour. I reported this on the Facebook Bolt forum and other users have confirmed the behavior, specifically only seeing it since the last update and only switching to Amazon Music but adding they have seen the swap from other audio apps as well. 2017 Bolt Premier, Samsung Galaxy Note 10

I cleared cache and data today, coinciding with today's Android Auto update, so if either fixes the trouble, I won't know which it was. Gonna try reinstalling Amazon Music if the symptoms persist. Really optimistic about the update since the problem appeared with the last update.

I had this exact problem. I ended up deleting/re-installing Amazon Music. I haven't had the issue since.
Did the same... I had been using Amazon Music, but the behavior was too obnoxious to put up with anymore.

This does not only happen with Amazon Music.

Also happening with Spotify...if I change the source to Spotify once, the car will always change to Spotify when the phone is connected again through USB.

I have tried changing the source, but always defaults to Spotify. New Android Auto did not fix.
