Using Bolt's heater to warm garage/shop

3938 Views 16 Replies 14 Participants Last post by  Edchris
Getting cold here in the midwest and my Bolt shares my shop area. I really don't like heating the garage/shop with kerosene or LP do to the stink and risk of fire. This might be a dumb idea but has anyone tried to heat an area like this by turning on the Bolt, setting the heat to high and rolling down the windows? My garage/shop does have an 8 foot insulated ceiling to help hold the heat in.

It’s a car. You won’t harm it significantly by using it as a $30,000 space heater, nor by driving it in the rain, nor by accelerating briskly, nor by charging it more than 70%. It’s a dämn car, not a crystal ornament.
