My first post here. Likely landing a used LT with low mileage for a good price from a friend. I would have preferred a Premier, but this will certainly do. A few questions--

- I'm assuming all warranties will transfer to second owner, right?

- Is there anything like OnStar, Sirius radio, etc., that is included with new purchase and is good for ?? number of years? If so, will that transfer to second owner?

- He is unsure if it has any options and he no longer has the window sticker. Would the VIN tell me what options are on this car.

Thanks for any info.

1) How to decode the VIN (always 17 characters long)

1G1 F X 6 S 0 8 H 4 123456

1G1 = American General Motors
F = Model (Bolt EV)
X = Trim (X = Premiere W = LT)
6 = 4 Door Hatchback
S = Restraint Type (Presumably Seat belt)
0 = Engine Type (none)
8 = check sum (add all the alpha numeric characters and divide by 11 - this number is the remainder X = 10)
H = Year (2017)
4 = Factory ID
123456 = Sequential Serial Number

Thanks XJ12. So the VIN won't give me a clue to the options. I'm guessing next step would be go to Chevy's build-your-own, see what options are offered, and see if I can identify them on the car.

Warranty and services transfer is still open question.

Wonder if you can get any info from the my Chevrolet website:

Would think GM would keep build records by VIN.

You also might be able to get a dealer to print you a window sticker based on the VIN
