What is the projection item on the dashboard screen? Can I watch YouTube from my phone while my wife is shopping?
Dangerous to their bottom lines, if there's a frivolous lawsuit after someone wrecks. This is why we can't have nice things.Sadly you cannot watch YouTube on the Bolt's screen while your wife shops. Chevy decided that since that would be dangerous while driving, they would not allow any videos to be played on the screen. Even if the car is in park. Makes sense to me ?♂
It is indeed idiotic. They could have simply made it so that videos would play ONLY when the vehicle is in park mode. But NNNOOOOO.....they took the entire feature away. Moronic.Sadly you cannot watch YouTube on the Bolt's screen while your wife shops. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The no-video limitation of CarPlay is from Apple. Chevrolet has nothing to do with that.
Why? I use it almost every time I drive my Bolt.I tried Car Play. Not happening.
The OP's topic was "Projection" (i.e. Apple CarPlay or Android Auto) and he wrote: "What is the projection item on the dashboard screen? Can I watch YouTube from my phone while my wife is shopping?" but glad my response made you laugh...LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are not talking about that exactly. There was a feature in the early 2017 bolts. In the gallery section it would allow for mp4 videos to be played. Due to someone’s idiotic actions they removed the feature via OTA update.
I for one would love to get ahold of the latest update and the early update and put the feature back into the latest and then block future updates. Would be great.
