Interesting WaPo article today on hacking into a 2017 Volt to see what personal info is stored in the Infotainment system.

It includes a link to a free app that can delete personal info when you sell your car. The story gives an example of why you might want to do that.

Something to think about when transferring the car to another owner.

I got the name and phone number of the previous driver of my lease return Spark EV from the infotainment system. I'd like to call him up and ask him about the history of the car, but I'll bet he wouldn't want to be bothered.
