Noooo! :eek::eek::eek:

I lost a treasured early Trooper that still looked and ran like new at 16 years / 125k miles, when a heavy limb fell straight down like an arrow and crushed its A-column (between windshield and door) so hard that it bent the chassis.

I was heartbroken. We had raised our kids on adventures in that thing - tent trailer taken to Death Valley, Yosemite, Grand Tetons, Pyramid and Mono lakes, Victoria BC, many Sierras camping trips miles beyond the pavement, other adventures. Losing that, and kids grown, ended a phase of my life.

You are very lucky.

Severe thunderstorm today. Looks like it might be time to invest in a garage.
It’s been so wet this year that we’ve seen more uprooted trees than ever before. My wife lost her first new car that way — but she has moved up quite a bit in the car world since 1991.

Hopefully we get a return to drier weather.

Is this in Berkeley Springs? We are only 40 mi from you all, and we haven't had a single drop or a wind gust here.
Yup, Berkeley Springs. Most of the rain passed west of us, but the intense wind reached a broader area.

California: Sad story about your Trooper. Just as you experienced my kid is leaving home soon, so glad I didn't loose the car too.

We were evacuated for 48 hours recently as a forest fire came close (Buffalo Fire, no structures damaged). As I pulled out of the garage in my Bolt to follow my wife in other car she yelled back: Don't forget the charging cable! Went in and got it. We stayed at a friend's house for 48 hours and the charging cable came in handy.

Wow! That's really scary. Glad your house survived.

Indeed. Imagine being not able to charge for 48 hours ...

(Yes, I deliberately left out part of the text when quoting. Otherwise it was no fun at all :D)
