got my new heatshield today and put it in the Bolt. I had one on my Outback and was very happy. The heat shield for the bolt is much less bulky than the Outback due to a narrower windshield, but it is a bit taller. It fits like a glove and has the cutout for either the LT or the Premier rear view mirror/sensor. Based on the material they use, I "don't" expect this thing to sag when hot like the OEM version.

This combined with my new Xpel ceramic tint should keep my baby cooler in the dog days of summer.

just an update, after 100+ degree interior temps today, no sagging of the heatshield.

How do you like your ceramic tint? Did you notice any affect on interior temperature? What % of tint did you have applied? I've been thinking of getting tinting on mine. At the shop where I inquired, one of the staff even had tinting on the windshield of his truck and said it didn't interfere with nighttime driving.

I love the ceramic tint! I got 35%. Preconditioning the car is awesome now. With the tint and heatshield my interior feels 25 degrees cooler than ambient. I got Xpel IR35 tint.

Did you get tinting on the windshield? I was thinking of getting a higher % on the passenger windows (not really dark, just more) and something less (25-40%) on the windshield, front side and hatchback windows.

I would be leery of putting a black heat shield up against the windshield of a car with the black side facing out. I once put a black background "for sale" sign inside my car's windshield on a sunny day and when I removed the sign I noticed a bunch of tiny air bubbles had formed in the safety glass where the sign had been located. Apparently, the window got so hot it caused the thin plastic layer between the two layers of glass to overheat and form the bubbles.

I bought the gold/black version thinking I can face black side out in the winter in freezing temps... what was the ambient temp in your case?

I can't recall what the temperature was, but it wasn't winter. I don't think the ambient temperature is the critical variable. Rather, what matters is how close the black surface is to the glass. If the screen fits fairly tight to the window I wouldn't be surprised if the inside of the window reached very high temperatures even if the inside of the car was only in the 40s or 50s or even cooler. You might experiment at home by angling your black window screen toward the sun and place a piece of glass up against it and see how hot the glass gets.

Anyone with the Bolt EV sun shields tried using the same panels on the Bolt EUV?

Update: Looks like non of the EV sun shade works on the EUV. The EUV has smaller windows. I guess it's either trim it or order new set.
