If the DIC shows you one efficiency average and the GOM shows you one prediction and you do some math, they don't agree in general.

I know where the GOM is on my 2019 Bolt EV; but where is this "DIC" (whatever that means) efficiency average that disagrees? Thank you.

TBH: Since January 3, 2017, I have never paid any attention to the efficiency average.

When I need remaining range information on a particularly long drive with a full charge, I compare the GOM to the miles remaining on Waze and then look at how much KWs were consumed vs. (using subtraction) how many are remaining, and hypermile accordingly to make it to my destination.

If time and/or not having an Uber passenger is not a factor, I find a DCFC on the way.

"Oh, I have 15 miles of range indicated but a big hill ahead of me to get home, I should stop to charge". Especially since it's not that obvious to find a place to charge!

That's why I purchased and carry an AeroVironments TurboCord (120v/240v) with appropriate adapters and extension cords, but haven't use them in over 4 years!
