Dang! you guys have rain?

this is today. 4pm in the shade.

It rained 60 days ago? Hasn't been below 100 all summer!
it rained enough to solidify what ever dust collected on top of the solar panel. but not enough rain to be able to use the wiper blades.
its possible the wiper motor parts all fused/joined/melted together , being never used.

I am not satisfied with the performance of the Drivers side Wiper blade on my new (August 2023) EUV Premiere.

My problem is that I can't find wiper blades that fit the arm properly. I know that the blades are 24 and 16 inches, however, Chevy seems to have altered the mounting method for the blade and none of the brands I checked have the proper adapter for the 2023 EUV.

The problem is that Chevy changed the "release button" location from the end closest to the arm pivot, to the location farthest away from the pivot (see the photo below):

For example: the top wiper above shows the release button toward the left, however, on my 2023 EUV, the release button would be on the left side (closest to the end of the wiper arm).

Has anybody changed Wiper blades on a 2023 EUV and found a blade that fit?

Thanks for your help.

PPS: I have tried Michelin, Peak, Trico, Bosch, Duralast, and several others, they just do not have the proper adapter.

I am so sorry to hear about your wiper blade issues.. however, I am totally facinated by what I can see of you car. Do you have a RACING STRIPE????? Please, please send a pic.. I am so obsessed. I wish I could get one, but I am very practical... I just got a blingy license plate frame and a colorful plate : )

OP is right about the OEM blades. They suck. I suspect the rubber compound is too hard. Mine won't wipe the window completely either. Leaves a spot about the size of my palm that is left wet and streaked. Will not wipe dry. Otherwise I am super impressed with the car. Love it!

A set of Rain-X wipers recently went on sale on Amazon and ours were getting streaky so I picked up a set. Fits well. Also, @EUV4ME these may potentially fit yours too. I took a picture of the instructions for you and if you notice one of the configurations is similar to yours. For what it’s worth, it “does not fit your EUV 2022” was what Amazon told me but I went with my gut anyway. Product link and photo of instructions attached.

After posting my reply above, something still didn't sound right, so I dug a little deeper. Turns out that AC Delco (AC Delco Catalog) has the correct info. There was a production change on April 3. Any 2023 EUVs built before 4/3/2023 use the same wiper blades as the 2022 EUVs. EUVs built on or after 4/3/2023 use the new connectors. Since this change is so recent, I suspect that there are no aftermarket blades with the correct adapter, so you may be out of luck for any non-OEM blades for the immediate future, but it shouldn't be long (maybe late this year or early next year) before some of the major aftermarket sources (ANCO, Bosch, Trico, Valeo, etc.) begin including the appropriate adapter. If you want a replacement blade now, it looks like it's the dealer's parts department or a parts store with an AC Delco account as your only choices.

Edit: GM part #s for the later style: left blade = 42858909; right blade = 42858912
After confirming the information from Leather Bear about the production change with the Dealer Parts Counter, I could not find a replacement wiper blade in the whole country (part was on back order nation wide). So, I figured there was more than one way to fix this...
I checked with my local Dealer Parts Counter and determined that the Windshield Wiper Transmission was not changed at the same time as the wiper arm, I then determined that both wiper arms (before and after the transition) appeared to be the same. So, I decided to swap the 2023 the wiper arm (2nd Design) to the 2022/23 (1st design) wiper arm. I found a Dealer in West Virginia to ship the wiper arm to me and I installed an after-market wiper blade.
Problem solved (at least until I need to replace the Passenger side Wiper blade).

I always go with OEM inserts. Annoys me when people buy overpriced, aftermarket junk. That said, I don't own a Bolt so I don't know the OEM performance.

The inserts for my Acura are $9 and work well.
That might be nice, however the OEM wiper was not available (anywhere).

I have found the aftermarket wiper blades to often be superior to the OEM wiper blades, and a darn sight cheaper.

PS: gm doesn't have wiper inserts for these blades. I don't think many OEMs offer inserts, that would ruin the profit margin and disincentivise sales of the whole wiper blade.

Interesting, I didn't know there were any blades that had non-serviceable inserts, but apparently the Bolt is that way.

In which case, the only option is to buy the whole thing, and might as well go aftermarket.

After paying $29 each for OEM wipers I ordered silicone inserts from Amazon for $10 for two. Search Youtube for easy installation. Amazon.com: Wiper Blade Refill, Beigaon 28 inch Silicone Wiper Blade Refill for Replacement Windshield Wipers, (Strip Height: 11mm, Width: 6mm) Fit for Frameless Wiper Insert, DIY Cut to Size(Pack of 2) : Automotive

Thanks very much. I clearly have a 2023 with the changed blade style. I had the same problem finding aftermarket blades, and the gm blades suck. I just received my Amazon silicone blades, and it worked like a charm. Can’t beat less than $10.

Yup….easy peasy and much less waste.

costco has the michelins, complete wiper not the filler blade, for about $10. I put a 26 incher on the driver's side and it was a perfect fit on our 2023 EUV.
