I’m glad it’s back, but there is nothing there compelling enough to cause me to trade in my ‘23 EUV Premier.
Same here. The previous EUV came in at $27,495, which was $1500 less. The faster charging speed and NACS port is nice, but will someone with a 2023 Bolt think it's worth dropping what will likely be at least an extra ~$10k on top of their trade-in for those meager upgrades? And give up CP and AA, too?

I'm thinking...not. The disappearance of the tax credit is just going to kill the new Bolt's sales to anyone with an old Bolt. Maybe GM is betting on corralling a bunch of first-timers.

And, then, there's the all-new Leaf, too.

V2X is intriguing for sure. And faster charging is always good. A fully loaded RS with supercruise could be a decent replacement for many more expensive EV's.

I’ll pay $10k+ just for the yellow paint. The EUV came in such bland colors. I don’t give a hoot about AA/CP. The Android Automotive in my EqEV works fine. However, I’d rather stick with CCS1 for now, but whatever.

10-80% in 26 minutes, that’s 15-20 minutes faster than Equinox EV (42-45 minutes) and faster than Tesla Model 3 or Model Y (29-31 minutes). Good job Bolt !
I'm sure GM expects the new Bolt to cannibalize Equinox (and possibly Blazer) sales. It will be $5k-$7K cheaper. But they are different cars for different people just like the ICE Trax/Trailblazer don't impact ICE Equinox to badly.
But with much faster charging speeds, if it holds true. Thats going to hurt the Equinox a bit more than I think GM expects.

Was I the only one who wanted the driver to step on the brake pedal during this shot? :D

I wish GM would stop putting a single back-up light right where a trailer hitch receiver would go. I know they probably don't want owners using their Bolt to tow, but it'd be great to have a way to install a bike carry rack without a lot of trouble.

Amusingly, back when GM first came up with the original idea of a whole series of BEVs, they said the price difference would be $2k between each Chevrolet model. That sure didn't pan out, particularly when the initial Blazer EV was priced not too far below its platform mate Cadillac Lyriq.

On the ICE side the price difference between the Trax, TrailBlazer, Equinox, Blazer and Traverse is roughly $5K. The Bolt, Equinox EV, Blazer EV are $5K Bolt to Eq and $10K Eq to Blazer. So they do need to work on that a bit.
I'd guess the Bolt kinda replaces the Trax size wise and being only FWD. I don't know if its worth slotting another BEV in between the Bolt and the Equinox. They first need to make a Traverse EV I would think.

"meh" is all that comes to my mind. my 22 EUV premier will last as long as it lasts, then I'll buy something, anything other than a GM. My current car is fine, don't get me wrong. It's the company itself that has some real idiots calling the shots.

Obligatory "no AA/CarPlay" no sale - i cancelled a Blazer EV order over it, and I'll stand firm.
Faster charging? Cool, but if it's anything like the charging curve of the Equinox, people are still going to be disappointed in some scenarios. (multiple tests showing a MAX rate of 100kw on the Equinox in some situations)
GM making it very clear they view the car as a subscription model going forward. The fact that AA/CarPlay is 100% possible on the hardware (Honda Prologue uses same modules/part numbers just different screens/software) That means someone sat in a meeting and made the conscious decision to remove a feature people love even though it was already there and working just fine.

Really though the nail in the coffin is having to deal with the "MyChevrolet" app for 10+ years at this point. From the Volt, to my Bolt, it's useless, even when you pay for all the bells and whistles. Just flat useless.

My EUV has been great, trouble free, takes me everywhere I want to go. The company behind it? Not so much. Zero confidence going forward, so zero money for them.

Carplay is overblown and overplayed. You don't need it. You are also getting generous years worth of data with GM, and you don't even need to use it... just pair the the vehicle to your phones hotspot. The MyChevrolet app for years has offered Battery management functionality and remote commands free for YEARs on the Bolt and late model Volts as well.

Charging Curve on many of GM's EVs is heavily dependent on temperatures and they also prioritize cabin comfort so if you want to run your HVAC it will lower charge speeds.
This has improved a LOT in the past year with the Ultium Dip almost completely gone and the curves smoothing out. GM has not been idle. Oh and there is a difference between Peek charge rate and average... No EV holds their Peek charge rate forever, it will eventually taper.
As for the LFP chemistry especially from CATL it should make charging the Bolt here a breeze.
