Doesn't seem like we'll get that last part of its still the same BEV2 platform.
This claim by some media doesn't make sense to me. The whole point GM wanted to remake the car is so they could move it to a platform that they can actually make money on. BEV2 cost was too high and wasn't a money maker for them.

OK. It is obvious the "new EUV" in those spy shots is the Captiva, in Brazil. Pretty funny they would show it in camo here, while showing full pictures in Brazil, like they haven't heard of the internet.

But they say it is a rebadged Chinese Wuling Starlight S. So somebody's info is wrong.
They are definitely different but certainly similar cars. Zoom in on the lower body sides of each car and you can easily see the differences. Also just below the window, the side sweeps up on the back door on the EUV, but doesn't sweep up until the quarter panel on the Captiva. I suspect the Captiva is a longer vehicle.

Long ago I rented a Captiva in Florida. It was never sold here on a retail basis, but it was made available for rental fleets. Of course it was a much older version and a gasmobile too.

Wasn't there a Buick product like this?
You are correct. It's made and sold in China and based on the EUV. It actually preceeded the EUV, so one could say the EUV was based on the Buick.

The Captiva EV is based on the Wuling Starlight S

The Spark EUV is based off the Baojun Yueye Plus.

Yep. That's totally the EUV right down to the windshield wipers. We have one of each, a 2022 EV and a 2023 EUV. The EUV is only 6" longer than the EV so seen in isolation it's not that hard to get them confused, although they share zero body panels.
The funny thing is: even though I thought they look incredibly different side-by-side, if I saw just one on the streets I couldn't reliably identify if it was an EV or EUV for the longest time. The headlight cue was the easiest to look for, now after seeing seeing more of them I bet I could get it right 90+% of the time... which is still not as high as it seems like it should be again considering the side-by-side differences!:ROFLMAO:

It definitely won't have the horns on the hatch to hit. They were only on the little Bolt. GM announced awhile ago the turn signals and brake lights would be fixed so they are higher.

It makes sense to me too from a price standpoint. That's especially now that the tax credits will be gone. The EUV only had a two year run also, and shared no body panels with the Bolt EV. Look how long Teslas remained essentially unchanged visually.

In one of the pics, the center brake light is on and it looks like the left and right brake lights are on too and up high.
Agree that the brake lights have been moved. Can be seen clearly in the pic. That's a good thing.

It's a Unicorn!

No, really, it'll be a miracle if the New Bolt ever actually arrives. The old Bolt plant (Orion) was being converted to build Silverado EVs, but that's dead. Back to building the Biggest Gassers. The KC plant was always going to be shared EV and gas; it's looking more likely (based on politix) that it'll stay All Gas though GM has been mum about details so far.

Did anyone notice the range of Silverado EV now? About half.
huh? The Range has always been from 495 Miles (24 Mod NMC Cell Work Truck) to 350 Miles (LFP Cell Pack)

?? Bolt prototypes are on the road testing. And while GM has juggled the product lineup for Fairfax, they’ve been pretty open about what they’re planning to build there. And I’ve seen some posts from Fairfax employees talking about the progress on the Bolt production line.

This is from the President of GM just a few days ago. He mentioned the Bolt.

From Tennessee to Michigan, GM is building a battery-powered future Site Maintenance

I posted 2026 truck for sale standard range
.
I think standard range is the lowest available. It wasn't initially available at all. Maybe GM would sell more of the vans if they made a small battery version.

283 mile range in a Silverado is probably the Work Truck version - below LT trim and aimed at fleet sales. Very long range is not needed for trucks that will run 150-200 miles most days and return to base (where they can be recharged from L2 overnight) after every workday. Even if away from "home" they should be able to regain most of their range in an hour or less of charging at 150kw. Edit: especially if the won't usually be towing much.
