Microfiber cloth. Hopefully you still have the factory protector on it. I would keep it on until you can find a glass one that will fit it. I did that on my 21 LT. Took the factory one off, cleaned the screen with Alcohol pad and immediately installed the tempered glass one. It detected presses much better than the factory one.

 

Thanks, I think the dealer took the plastic off the display while I was in financing. There was a piece of flimsy plastic wrap with a tab in the upper right corner that they removed.
However, it kinda looks like there is a piece of plastic covering it, I'm not sure. I don't want to start picking at it.

What tempered glass one did you end up purchasing?

if you order it make sure you watch the video and test line it up before sticking it. once it is stuck and you try and remove it it will never sit the same and have bubbles. may also be helpful to put some painters tape on the edge so you know where to line it up so it is centered.

Important thing about using Alcohol wipes. Make sure there is no debris on the screen that can scratch before using them. That is one of the reasons I use Microfiber first, (Lightly wipe) this will attract debris. The use the alcohol wipes to remove any sticky residue.

That is one of the main reasons I recommend a screen protector as soon as you can. then you can wipe the screen however you want and if it scratches you can just replace the protector for $10.

If you scratch the display you will have to live with it for the rest of your vehicle ownership.

 

From page 271 of the 2022 Bolt owner's manual:

 

I prefer to use canned air to blow off debris before using the microfiber.

I just want people to be aware if there is dirt/sand on the display not to just wipe it with an alcohol wipe.
Treat it like your cell phone display.

 

I finally found a use for the little compartment on the center console. Makes a good place to store a microfiber cloth for the infotainment screen.
