Yes, no, maybe.
The manufacturing defect was discovered and methods were modified to reduce the recurrence. That said, no manufacturing process is defect free. Diagnostic software improvements seem to be acting as an Early Warning System and catching defects before they deteriorate to the point of ignition.
To the extent you trust the manufacturing improvements, QA processes in the factories, and wisdom of software to detect hardware problems, it is fixed.
The good news is, no reported fires in quite some time.
