I'm a longtime customer of Hertz after spending 25+ years on the road for work, however the pandemic and my advanced age has mostly put a stop to all that nonsense. Nevertheless, Hertz still delivers all their advertising (for free!) to my inbox. Just got this one earlier today.
Made me wonder how the business of EV rentals is turning out so far. To be fair, I suspect the vast majority of rentals are one or two day affairs for road warriors in a city somewhere with simple trips between the hotel and worksite with a bar or two thrown in. Very few miles and no big deal. This is the manner I operated for all those years. But there is always a steady stream of leisure travelers looking for that road trip. Seems Hertz would need to front a bit of classroom time for customers that have never driven or paid attention to this new transportation mode.
Anyone have some fun observations or experience with EVs in the rental space?
