To my American friends, I have never seen my country so united and determined to move away from the US and trade with other countries in my life. We just signed a critical minerals deal with Germany. Surely being allies makes far more sense in a world of turmoil.

And many Americans are about as embarrassed by our country as we could possibly be.

As a former Michigan resident now living in Florida, I wish Florida's government were as science-based. Now my toddler grandchildren face a real risk of dying from preventable childhood diseases because their peers are less likely to be vaccinated. My daughter will be forced to ask other parents about their children's vaccination status before allowing her children to play with them. And groups of parents who care enough to vaccinate their children will insist that the public schools place their children only in classes with other vaccinated children.

Maybe there will be a valuable Darwinian natural selection.

Those who don't belong here contribute FAR more to the US economy than they take out. Heck, they take out next to nothing! This coming year the economy will take a $7B hit from foreign students who've decided to go study elsewhere. And that's just a small slice of what foreigners contribute.

And sadly it costs them nothing more than a few hundred thousand dollars to buy each politician.

Politicians are cheap, compared to what the corporations stand to gain.

@JRRF you do not even need those probably. Hijacking networks remotely that control say money, water, electricity etc. can cause enough havoc in a country. Especially in advanced countries where you are so used to hitting a switch and turning on a faucet or walking into a bank to withdraw some money.

Excellent point. And what will it mean to "win"? Obviously Russia/Putin has wet dreams of taking control of the old Soviet Bloc land, and he's willing to sacrifice millions of soldiers to do it. But China/NK has no interest in occupying the US. They could do it all remotely and just force us to surrender.

Putin is only trying to rebuild what the Deep State had broken as far as the old USSR goes. At this point in history we literally have no government. Just the corporations and global elitists controlling the rest of us.
