Got this on start up today. '20 model, 57077 miles. No new pack; just the monitoring software.
So you might get a new battery, or you might get slightly less sensitive software. Make sure your dealer is aware of the latest software patch. Please keep us posted., Thanks.

I had those same codes a week ago and I'm getting a new battery in my 2020 Premier w/36000+ miles. If I read the bulletin here correctly, the updated software does not apply to 2020s without previously replaced batteries.

I was just going to drive it. Till it shut off the AC under the reduced propulsion mode.
Hit the onstar button so they could run the codes and make record of the event in their system.
They also contacted the nearest GM dealer. Took it in and dropped off the vehicle.

Any chance they can put in a fresh 12volt battery on their dime?

I still am on the original OEM factory tires. There is a 1" split in the tread and I can see what look to be the steel belts. Is that split a tire defect? Will Michelin cover it?

Also what about the possibility of doing a vehicle swap? Really need a truck or van. Will pay the difference if the deal is good. Just a base model or commercial vehicle.

Got my Bolt back with the new software. Guess everything is fine.
No new battery?
Nope.

After the September 8 bulletin came out, they told me they will not replace the battery and instead install software. I have the car back and I guess everything is fine. But I'm very skeptical. I'm parking the vehicle as far from the house as the charge cord will allow. GM has shown a poor track record on taking battery quality issues seriously.

If you have the new monitoring software; get a few thousands miles on it so it can detect the battery needs replacing. My guess is 2 or 3 thousand miles into it. It may not even be mile based. It could be amount of times charged. I charge nightly. It needs charge cycles to detect the difference or variation it's looking for.

At about 1000 miles past the "enhanced diagnostics" upgrade, this morning my car threw a U3632 code - propulsion reduced / service now.
Regen is disabled, charging is disabled. Goes into the dealer at 7 AM tomorrow. We'll see. I will not accept another 10 km of 80%.

My turn today for one of our two 2020 Bolt EVs. Dealer who sold us the car advised it was unsafe to drive there, GM Roadside paid for flatbed tow truck 25 miles to a different dealer who could look at it next week (ours couldn't look at it in the first instance for 3 weeks) EV concierge said if it turns out to be under warranty (hard to figure out how it wouldn't be, we are at 25 months and under 13,000 miles for that car), they will reimburse us for $50 a day (retroactively to today, when we were lucky to get a rental car after being misled by the national Enterprise call center). From my review of this thread, looks likely to be a long wait. Now I'm worried that our other Bolt will throw the same code.

. . . looks likely to be a long wait . . .
My dealer told me it typically takes 1 to 2 weeks to get a battery, BUT it's been 2 weeks today and still no new battery. (but I do have a 2023 loaded EUV to drive courtesy of my dealer so the wait isn't so bad :D)

The EV Concierge and the Chevy Dealer told me 3 weeks these days, so hopefully soon. Jealous about your EUV!!

Just received this message from OnStar, "Urgent Diagnostic Alert: Service the lithium-ion battery in your 2020 Bolt immediately." I checked the map in the myChevrolet app and my Bolt is now in my dealer's service area after sitting outside for 2 weeks. Hopefully good things are happening.

Hey, add me to the U3636 party! I bought the car (2020 LT) used with 24975 miles 5 weeks ago.

Date: 9/22/23
Diagnostic Code: U3636
Miles driven before detection: 975
Car Build Date: 01/20
I believe it is the original battery. I've charged exclusively on a 12a EVSE except for the first day I bought it. I went to an EVGo DCFC and charged for about 30 min to make sure it worked.

I just received a text message from my dealer that my Bolt is ready to be picked up. The myChevrolet app shows it with no issues and charging. 2 weeks and 6 hours.

Dealer has had my '20 model for a week now. Not a word. Will that GM hotline be of any use or help? Also interested in a trade.

Ok, here is another:

2020 Bolt LT that I bought new
Diagnostic software installed Aug 29th, mileage 48708
Code U362A detected September 23rd at mileage 50894
Service scheduled Sept 26th so I will keep everyone updated.

NOTES:
I commute 140 miles per day, charge every week night
Car threw code first thing in morning after an overnight charge to 80%

I don't read the forum much so I scheduled service and the guy said no problem to keep driving it with reduced propulsion. So I took it out to test what reduced meant and noticed no AC. Then looked at forum and realized battery is likely not cooling. So I came home and then observed it would not charge back up to 80% as others stated. Then it was making sounds kind of like boiling coolant in traction battery under the car. I caught some video with the sounds. That was yesterday, parked it at safe distance from everything. This morning checked on it and still making the sounds. I had the car started today while calling onstar, and no the sounds are gone. But they were loud enough to hear in the car while talking to onstar. Hard to tell if it was gurgling or like plastic heated and making noises. If I drive the car to the dealer on Tuesday it is 35 mile trip.

Also, Dealer is no help for rental or loaner as others have stated. And onstar said tow bill would be on me even though I described the sounds it was/is making. Typical.
