I received my battery replacement notice for my 2021 Bolt last Saturday, December 10. I contacted my dealer and was told that they needed to order the battery packs and once received, they would contact me to set a repair date. I was a bit shocked by this since I assumed the modules would be in stock. Either way, I am glad that there was some sort of development given that it is almost 2 years.

I was a bit shocked by this since I assumed the modules would be in stock. Either way, I am glad that there was some sort of development given that it is almost 2 years.
That is how mine worked, and apparently the vast majority who have shared their experience (eligible, call to order, schedule). BTW, the entire pack is replaced, the modules are swapped in a refurbishing factory then complete packs shipped to the dealers. There is a core charge, so dealers would have to carry an expense to pre-order and hold. Dealers cannot even order (which requires an eligible VIN) until the car is eligible status on the recall site.
 
Interesting side note - when I called my dealer (Suburban in Ann Arbor) the service department I provided my VIN number and confirmation that GM had notified me of the parts being available for my 2020. The rep then made some sqawk about wanting to check and see if my car was one of the affected ones. Before I was able to make it clear that they were ALL to be replaced, she put me on hold to look it up. Upon return she told me the parts had been ordered and they would call me back when they can set up an appointment. Talk about missteps until the end... Sheesh
 
I noticed sometime in November 2022 that the status of the recall for my Bolt changed in the My Chevrolet app. I called my local dealer the next day. They confirmed my car was now eligible and they immediately ordered a battery. The battery arrived sometime before Christmas and was installed yesterday, January 3, 2023. A+ service from Watson Chevrolet and Frank Hannigan. They also did the repair work last February after I got whacked on the driver side rear wheel by a red light runner.

Just saw my notice to get my battery pack replaced when I opened the MyChevrolet app. Next step is to call the dealership to have them order the battery. I have a 2020 Bolt which I bought on January 25, 2020. Currently have 30k miles on it. It could be coincidence that I contacted a GM concierge a couple weeks ago to see what was taking so long. Update, Called my dealer and they said they couldn’t order it currently but didn’t know why. So I contacted the GM concierge and they will try to order it, hummmmm not sure about the process at this time …
 
It's really annoying that we have to figure out that "Incomplete" actually means "Your dealer can order a new battery for you after you call them", while "Incomplete-Remedy Not Yet Available" means "Do nothing for now." This is cryptic government-speak, hiding information instead of giving proper instructions. Their lawyers are talking, not their customer-service employees.

And since I’ve been told my battery is now ordered it flips daily from incomplete to open back to incomplete the next day and open the day after that. So unprofessional that I’ll never buy another Chevrolet product again. It’s been a total laughing joke of an ordeal thus far.

My leasing dealer (closest to me) thought it would take 6-8 weeks to get a battery. The other (only a bit further away) said 2-4 weeks, so I ordered it through the latter. I called them this morning to see if they had any delivery info, and after checking he said it arrived last Monday! No one contacted me, so it's just been sitting there. Anyway, I've scheduled the replacement for next Monday morning. I'll drop it off Sunday afternoon and let them get at it first thing. So a week from now I will finally have a "good" battery.

Congrats for sure....I hope to be right behind you somewhere. I am not part of the group looking to delay and want to get back to 100% as soon as I can.

Once it flipped and the battery has been ordered then why does one bother to continue to look at the recall and/or care about what it says at that point?
 
So Jan 10 my dealer said it is ordered and then today Jan 16 they called and said it was in and that tomorrow Jan 17 I should come in at 9am and drop my 2020 Bolt off. Hummm somehow the month they said it would take to get the battery turned into 1 week. Makes me wonder if they had it in stock already? Anyhow tomorrow they will give me a rental while they put in my new battery pack. They say it will take 2-3 days. I’ll be glad when it’s all over and I can charge to 100% when needed for future road trips. Maybe someone else cancelled their battery pack? It all seems to be such a disjointed process. Maybe others here have had a similar experience? I’ll check back here as the process unfolds here in Phoenix Az

It must not be charged to more than 80%, and not charged in the last 24 hours for them to pull the battery. They claim they can tell this from their scanner. Otherwise it will take an extra day. But it sounds like they built in some slack for delivery anyway, since it is a one day job.

I have less than 80% now and the limit they put on it some time ago put that percentage as my max. It will be 48 hours since I charged it up to that 80%. I just checked and it’s at 77%. It’s a 30 minute drive to get to the dealer so maybe 65-70% by then.

When it is done, before you leave the dealership, check the app to make sure it says 100% SoC, and the DIC shows 20 green bars. Also look under the hood at the battery coolant reservoir (front passenger side), and make sure the coolant is at least up to the fill line with two arrows. I suggest putting a piece of masking tape on to mark the level. Check it every time after it finishes charging, for a month. Ask me why.

Exactly! GM, and many other makers, use a vacuum system to pull out old coolant, and also pull a vacuum while refilling. After refilling, they are supposed to activate the coolant circulating pump for at least five minutes, from their computer, to move any bubbles to the reservoir, and then top up again. Sometimes one or both are skipped. Ours burped, and dropped level several times. Not a problem, if you catch it, and top off again before it get low enough to set off the Low Level Error. You must use the correct coolant.
