Hi guys, what’s the best adapter for iPhone and torque pro that every one is using?

thanks in advance

LELink adapter + EngineLink app seems to be a good combo for iOS devices. I've had this for about two years before moving to using fixed display.

EngineLink app is a close equivalent to Android-only Torque Pro as far as using custom PIDs goes, although the syntax and formula slightly differ.

Thanks, just bought the veepeak adapter, so I’ll be buying the paid version as soon as the adapter arrives.

by the way, the app doesn’t have very good reviews. is the engine link obd2 app that costs 5.99 the right one to get? Only 52 reviews with 3 out of 5 stars at the App Store. Being 2021 I was expecting a lot more reviews and higher rating for an app like this. If it works for you I’ll buy it when the adapter arrives, please let me know.

thanks and sorry for all the, previously answered, questions!

I have used both the veepeak and obdlinkMX+. For the price, go with veepeak. The MX supports more functions for GM cars. It is unlikely you will need them.

I bought $100 android phone to keep in the car for using TorquePro. I will tell you this, the IOS app I used was far easier to use and had most of the PIDs already. Torque requires a lot of setup.

So you select 'VEEPEAK' from the list of Bluetooth devices there, and it gives that error? It's odd that it would show the adapter but not actually connect up. Obviously the device is powered and bluetooth is working or you wouldn't see it in the list. It's been over a year since I started using it but I don't recall any other steps being needed. Let me experiment today.

I just made it work, the user manual says to select LELink but mine connected using VIEcar mode, weird but it worked.

now, I was only able to find the remaining charge on the battery but nothing about cells status whithin the battery.
Is there any PID fir this app you’d recommend? Ok couldn’t find much information about the EngineLink app online. Let me know and thanks for all the help

FYI, I'm mostly happy with my Konnwei KW901 adapter, $19 on eBay. It doesn't stick down very far, so it's up and out of the way. The Low Energy Wifi didn't work for me, but their Bluetooth does... be sure you get one with Bluetooth logo, not wifi logo. It has an on/off button, and I've found that I need to press it twice (off, on) then pair with phone. Maybe for all-day use, an always-on adapter would be better.

Anybody with a link to known-working <$19 scanner, please post.

I tried one of the $10 blue ELM327s on my LEAF and that did not work, so I gave it away (before I got the Bolt).

This is a Bluetooth adapter, not wifi. Also, I used to have a 10 bucks adapter that worked half the time, that’s why I bought this one (40 bucks)

Quick question, I was looking at the live data of all 96 cells and they’re all 3.68 or 3.69 V. The battery is at 52% right now. How can I tell if they are good or bad?

I love all the data you get from the PIDs but it’s kind of confusing without knowing what’s the important number to look at. Let me know if you guys know or if you can, point me to a site where I can read more about it.

thanks a lot for all the help and patience explaining things!

K.
I bought a VEEPEAK OBDCeck BLE+ and it connects to both my I-Phne 11 and I-Pad Pro.
I use OBD Fusion and am unable to load PIDs to the I-Phone but the I-Pad works perfectly.
I used the Drop box feature on the app to load PIDs onto the I-Pad but no luck with the I-Phone.
