I've been dealing with GM the past few weeks for a rental car reimbursement, and I told them repeatedly
they needed a Bolt size EV in their new EV lineup. The Equinox is bigger. I said I've had two Bolts and are very satisfied. The ideal suburban car. Right now I could trade my '22 EUV for a '23 or '24 EV, and make money after the tax credit. Actually, I prefer the EV size--better view for shorter drivers.

I got the email too. But when GM? And how much GM?

 

If it ends up being a small-ish hatchback with decent DCFC speed (I don't need breakneck speeds) then I will definitely be interested.

 

I just got the same email about 2 minutes ago. Seems like the bean counters figured out a way to keep it alive.

 

Nah! It was a 2-stage set up, to cancel the low priced "old" Chevy Bolt, & later "resurrect" a "new" Chevy Bolt with a few "niceties" added AND charge a much higher price.

 

Its a confusing email, that is for sure.

Skeptical...GM's non-Bolt EV roll out so far has been delay, delay and disappointment. And Barra said they couldn't make money on an EV <$40k.

I love his videos and I’m happy he appreciates how well the Bolt executes on its mission. I laughed out loud when he screamed at Mary from the parking garage.

 

That email was pretty sketchy looking and only went to an email address I don’t use with Chevy (I’ve purchased 5 Bolts over the years and have used 3 different email addresses with Chevy).

No doubt with the Ultium battery.

 

Translation: Our Ultium rollout is so bad, we will continue making the Bolt for the credits.

 

Haven't read the thread yet but I think that's what this means. "We will delay Ultium to put the Tesla connector and in the meantime we'll keep churning Bolts out of the factory".

 

I have received the same email and don't see why a spammer would bother with this.

 

Got the same email. At the very least, the address is from Chevrolet.com

 

No doubt with the Ultium battery.

And faster charging I hope!

The Ultium Bolt that everyone said would never happen... Seems to be happening.

 

Not spam... But no details either.

 

CEO Mary Barra confirmed Tuesday that a new Bolt is in the works, which she said will be affordable and have great range and technology. No time frame was given for the car, but Barra said GM will bring it to market quickly. The Bolt, which starts at $26,500, is due to go out of production at the end of this year.

So the new Bolt will have Ultium batteries. Perhaps faster charging as well?
