A similar age gen I Nissan Leaf never went for as low as $10k. I'd scoop one up even at the $13k price.
I bought my first Leaf in early 2016, it was a 2013 with 40k miles in great shape, full battery bars, it was $5995 with no incentives! But that was a month after they had been selling new for $12k after inentives.

In about 2015? I saw a billboard in the North Bay area advertising a Leaf for $99 a month. I seriously thought about it, but now I'm glad I didn't go for it.
I drove that 2013 Leaf for over 4 years, doubled the mileage, and only had to replace the tires, sold it for the same $6k I paid when I got my first Bolt.

I was trying to score the first Ioniq EV for the $99 a month lease in late 2019 but they were impossible to find

Well, a few months later $99 a month would have been difficult, that only lasted a few months, but long enough to probably have lost it to repo.

I wasn’t actually opining on the net price - I just think it’s an example of a sc@mbag dealership tactic.
I know, I was relating how it seems unlikely that a less desirable car would sell for more than a more desirable one.

Heck of a deal. My parents got a 2012 Leaf with a 50% battery in 2020 for the same price. It's unusable in winter, so I'm looking for a replacement.

Well, if you believe Faux News, people do not want EVs and I guess anyone who wants a $99 EV lease deal will get one. ;)

Update: Hm... spoke too soon. Just saw this video from bearded aussie.

Update: NVM, just 0% financing and the dealers tend to hold back the $7,500 cash as additional profits. BTW, another <5 min video with 3 min stuffed to make it a 8 min video. LOL

Screamer headline, wild hair. Who needs reading when there's YouTube?

I noticed, and finally I am in the market for a used bolt. 2020 premier with 30k, 19,000. OR a 2020 Lt with comfort package for 16,000. $4k off at signing. I can't decide if the the upgrades are worth it. I'm coming from a 2015 Mitsubishi mirage ES, now at 180,000 miles.

I wanted the driver confidence package, although the lane assistance is (at best) anemic. What might be more important to you is DCFS, which was an option on some trims in 2020. If the car has it, there will be a plastic orange cover inside the charge port.

I sold my 23 Premier to a dealer....(wholesale) for 22500.
He will ask 25....not exactly dropping like a rock.......
considering what I paid minus $7500 that I just got form IRS!
And I bought a new Ford Lightning XLT....a little over 49k otd and 3.9 financing for 60 months
I am happy!

Make sure it has DCFC if that's something you might want at some point, since it's not realistic to add it later.

Since I want to play with autonomous driving, I would pick whichever model is compatible with OpenPilot. I imagine few want to monkey with that stuff though.

Still look as high as ever to me,

March 2020 I could have picked up a 2017 w/65000 miles for $9999.

still disappointed I didn’t break lockdown protocol and get it.
It's 2024 and despite the Faux panic about 'falling' EV sales plus the new Used EV Tax Credit, we are still not at <10K Bolt.

BTW, I've been browsing CarGurus and went to the dealer website of Seaside Chevrolet at Monterey. $12K after $4K tax credit! Pretty good prices and no mention of ripoff $700 'protection package' mentioned at another dealer's website.

Hey now, I know we have an extra tax credit in Mass, but I scored a 2020 Premier for $7,500. An unreal price! The only cheaper EV was back in 2016 when I bought a 3 year old low miles Leaf for $5,900

Unreal, true dat! I'd pay that out of pocket today.

I just did a search and everything 2020-up in eastern WA is $19,995 or higher. If one gets the $4000 off, still $16k.

That priced inventory is all dried up for the most part in Mass too. My Bolt was stickered at $14,900, but you cant get a Premier in Mass for that price anymore, they are all at least 3k higher now; mostly due to the fact you can get $7500 in rebates. One state over in CT they are much cheaper.
