I was at the Dealer on 6/7/22 and pushed really hard to find out the order date for the 2023's, they did not know when gm would open the order book.
We were at 3 different Dealers over the weekend, none had any Bolts in stock that could be sold (2022's that still needed their battery replaced). However, we were able to take the cars out for test drives, my wife and I both liked how the EUV rides and drives. We also found the seating to be really comfortable. My wife really liked the ability to use the rear camera view in the rear view mirror.
Obviously, I am waiting for the 2023 pricing.

Looks like canada won’t be getting discounted rates for the 2023 models. GM Canada citing that the pricing is competitive enough here apparently.

Ordered my SOC swap vehicle today. ‘23 EUV Premiere (2LV in GM speak). This vehicle only has 2 options - Sun & Sound and SuperCruise. We were not interested in S&S, and the sales person doing the ordering said they are not currently building any with SuperCruise (which we were also not interested in). Expected delivery is in early October.

When the pricing comes out I will probably back out of my order. The economy is going to affect production, and 2024 models will be cheaper. I think Canadian's are going to get screwed with the 2023 model pricing. When productions actually start, other manufacturers might have better deals. I'm not going to be in a hurry just because gas prices are high. Good Luck !

Located in Austin, TX, USA, my dealer placed order on 6/30/22 for trade/repurchase: 2023 EUV Premier, Silver Flare Metallic, Redline edition, Sun + Sound pkg, Super Cruise, Illuminated Charge Port. I checked the status July 5th and it's now "Your vehicle order has been accepted by General Motors and is moving toward the production process.". Not sure of the build date yet, but if this all works out (I started the trade/repurchase process back in November 2021), I'll be over the moon with GM and my new EUV.

So I placed my order with my dealer (Canada, 2023 Bolt EV) on June 14, but they still say that GM is not yet accepting orders and cannot provide me with an update or ETA. I don't have an order number/descriptor, other than a deposit receipt/email. I would love to know why my dealer is saying GM is not accepting orders yet, while others seem to be successful in placing orders. Any help would be appreciated!

Similar boat. I placed an order for my 2022 Bolt EV on March 12, 2022. Keep getting the “no updates yet”. I’ve made it clear throughout that I want to know when 2023’s become available to order so I can switch my order over. I was told up front it could be 9 to 12 month wait but seeing zero progress on my order so far makes me consider other vehicles as I haven’t really given up a spot in a lineup that hasn’t moved anyways.

I have 2 orders accepted but waiting for build date

It's because your dealer puts you on his waiting list, then we he gets its allocations from GM, let say 10 (3 EVs plus 7 EUVs) for the next 2 weeks, he's placing its orders for that, even if you're first on the EUV list but GM said for these allocations you'll get 3 whites and 4 blue of this trim, and you ordered a Red of a different trim, then you'll have to wait for the next allocations, and so on. It is almost a loterie.

So the dealer doesn't order vehicles with specific trims or colors? GM dictates those?

Someone posted information about how the allocation system works from another thread:

i just got contacted by my repurchase coordinator! said all i need to do at this point is send in the 6 photos of my bolt. she mentioned possible august 1 and 14th runs next month...fingers crossed we are sitting and super cruising by the fall...

So why call it a order. More like Russian Roulette. They should at least give you a choice of what’s coming
This might be the case for normal orders, but I doubt it since people custom order cars all the time. For repurchase and swaps it is not the case. You can order whatever you want and GM will add a special allocation for the dealer.
